From Free Theme to Custom

After our initial design consults, we realized that the base themeing for this store could run on one of Shopify's free themes. Building on the theme we were able to morph the foundation into the signature look the team at Tabitha Simmons was looking for. Launched in Late 2018, the store has a great mix of products with amazing visuals.

A bit about our name, Text Connects: founder Justin Porter started the company in January 2001 while still in high school as a sideline to his other business, homework. In those early days, before he was building websites, it was simply text that connected people on the Interwebs.

Now, more than 20 years later, we’re a scrappy team of about a dozen, self-reliant and passionate people still connecting people to brands, commerce, and systems.
