Gift wrap and a note, right in the cart

One checkbox adds gift wrapping to the order, with a box for a handwritten note, so gift shoppers don't have to email the store.

The idea

Lots of orders are gifts, and the shopper wants it to arrive looking like one. Offer gift wrap and a note in the cart, before checkout, instead of leaving it to a reply in the order notes.

How it works for shoppers

  • One checkbox. On Born Baby, the cart has a Gift Wrap checkbox with its price, $6.00.
  • It's added to the order. Checking the box adds neutral gift wrapping to the cart as its own line, with a Remove link.
  • A note from the giver. A text box takes the message for a handwritten gift note.
  • Clear rules. A line underneath explains that larger items like strollers and car seats can only be wrapped when picked up in the shop.

Why it works

  • Gift shoppers say yes. A small add-on at the right moment is easy to accept.
  • Every order is clear. Wrapping and the note arrive with the order, so the team knows exactly what to do.
  • The brand comes along. A wrapped box with a handwritten note feels like the shop, not a warehouse.

What we build

Gift options that fit your store: wrapping styles and prices, notes, and the rules for what can and can't be wrapped, set up so the team sees them on every order.

Clarity before code.
