The idea
A great lifestyle photo usually sits at the top of the homepage doing nothing but looking good. Put it to work: wrap it in a category list and float real products over it, so the photo sets the scene and the cards close the sale.
How it works for shoppers
- Categories on the side. On gemlux.com, Best Sellers, New Products, Accessories & Apparel and Boat Shade open like an accordion, each with a short line and a shop button.
- The photo stays in view. A full-width shot of the products in use on the water fills the rest of the section.
- Products on top. Cards with photos, prices and star ratings sit over the photo, with arrows to move through the set.
Why it works
- Context sells. Seeing outriggers on a real boat next to their prices makes the product easy to picture.
- Several categories, one section. Shoppers can explore without scrolling through a long homepage.
- Movement draws the eye. Opening a category and sliding the cards gives the page a reason to be touched.
What we build
A section with your photography, your categories and the products you want in front of people, set up so your team can change the photo and the picks for each category without a developer. Read the GEMLUX case study.
