The idea
A blank search box asks the shopper to do the work. Many people who click search don't know the product name yet. Fill the box with somewhere to start: what other shoppers are looking for and the collections you most want them to see.
How it works for shoppers
- Popular searches, one tap away. On cinq à sept, opening search shows popular searches like Khloe Blazer, White Dresses, Matching Sets, Jeans and Marta Cami.
- Category shortcuts with photos. Below them, image tiles go straight to Jackets & Blazers, Dresses, Pre-Fall 2026 and Best Sellers.
- Results as you type. Typing "dresses" swaps the shortcuts for product photos and prices. Adding "blue" narrows it to blue dresses, and View all opens the full results.

Why it works
- No blank page. Shoppers who aren't sure what to type still have somewhere to go.
- You choose what gets seen. The shortcuts are prime space for a new season, a hero product or best sellers.
- Faster to the product. Photos and prices in the results mean fewer clicks between the search box and the product page.
