The idea
Brands with a long history usually bury it in a wall of text on the About page. A timeline turns it into something people actually click through: one year, one photo, one short story at a time.
How it works for shoppers
- Pick a year. On gemlux.com, the years from 1961 to 2025 sit in a row, and the current one is underlined.
- A photo and a story for each. 1961 shows the GEM building and how the company got its name. 2022 shows the new patented rod holder in use.
- Explore at their own pace. Shoppers jump straight to the years they care about instead of scrolling through everything.

Why it works
- History builds trust. Sixty years in business is a reason to buy, and a timeline makes it easy to see.
- Products get a backstory. Milestones like a new patent connect the brand's story to what's for sale.
- It's easy to keep adding. Each new year is one more entry, not a page rewrite.
What we build
A timeline section in your brand's style that your team fills in from the theme editor, with a photo, a year and a story for each milestone. We used the same idea for our own history page. Read the GEMLUX case study.
